Poem: "Daisies" by me

A dull faded sunlight
Dripping drops of confidence from dew
An earth turning slowly
To the beat of a metronome
A heart torn in two.
Blossoms of anguish
Tear up through your skin
Sprouting daisy buds through your flesh to surround you
In the sunset colored love
That you asked for all along.
Eyes squinting to see
The chains holding you to the ground
Like roots embedded in lush soil
That help you grow and yet, consume
Watch it consume you.
Under crisp air and harsh light;
Under plenishing rain you thrive
And yet-
You wither under the uncertainty
Of tomorrow's droughtful day.
